ABOUT LEWIS

Lewis Pesacov is a two-time GRAMMY nominated producer, mixer, engineer, composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. Pesacov works distinctively in and between genres spanning experimental, electronic, contemporary music, opera, classical, folk, rock and indie.

Pesacov’s inimitable style has led to recording collaborations and projects with both cutting-edge and established artists and organizations such as opera directors Yuval Sharon and James Darrah, composers Phillip Glass, Julius Eastman, Ellen Reid, and David T. Little, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Opera Philadelphia, Boston Lyric Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Michigan Opera Theater (Detroit), Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), The Industry (Los Angeles) and Wild Up (Los Angeles).

Pesacov has produced over 75 studio albums with rock and indie acts, including Best Coast, Nikki Lane, FIDLAR, and Poolside. He was co-founder of the influential Echo Park-based indie label, White Iris Records. As a performer, he co-founded bands Fool’s Gold and Foreign Born. They toured extensively throughout the US, UK, and Europe in festivals, stadiums, and theatres from the Glastonbury Festival to the Hollywood Bowl.

As a composer, Pesacov’s works have been featured in festivals, museums, and galleries, including The Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), the 2013 Biennial of the Americas (Denver) performed by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, and at Machine Project (Los Angeles) performed by the Calder Quartet and at The Philosophical Research Society (Los Angeles) with Wild Up. His work has also been performed internationally at the Darmstadt Ferienkursen and the Conservatory of Music Trossingen (Germany), the Dissonanz Festival (Switzerland), and by the Orchestre de Science-Politiques Paris (France).
